Personal Coaching,
putting you back in charge
The valuable thing about coaching is that it is all about you. The coach is there to support you and help you achieve your goals, but you always remain in charge of your own life. With the help of a coach, you can learn to believe in yourself and realise your desires.

Hi, I am Maartje
An approachable and energetic coach, who works with motivational power. I myself am always looking for what gives me strength and satisfaction and what I want to develop further. But even more fascinating, how does that actually work in others? It is an interesting challenge for me to discover together with you what gives you energy and satisfaction. This kind of exploration gives you new insights and me a lot of pleasure.

Type of coaching
You are always central, only you have insight into what works for you and what does not. As a coach, I ask pointed questions and reflect on what I see happening. By continuing to ask questions, I invite you to get closer and closer to the core of your solution. The emphasis is on a positive approach, focusing on how you can use experiences to improve your life, rather than focusing on failures. Between sessions, you experiment with your new insights and notice what contributes most to your development.

Recent work
Bad relation with manager
An employee of a small team not only did not click with his manager but also did not understand what results were expected of him. By better understanding his own personality and quietly observing what the manager thought was important, he initially got more peace of mind and work. Then he was able to start the conversation about their difference in personality and how they could complement each other. It remained a difficult collaboration, but with mutual respect.
Smarter handling of environment
An employee at a large insurance company let her manager push her out of her power. In our conversations, she gained insight what caused thisbut above all she discovered that she has a lot of power inside her that she had not used before. Especially as a young mother she knows what really matters and what does not. By translating this primal knowledge into what she needed in her work, her self-image changed. She now understands very well what brought her out of balance and what she can do to stay in her power better.
Work-life balance.
A manager became more and more of a workaholic because she thought this was necessary to command respect from those around her. She came for coaching after being fired back by her family. During the sessions, she started to recognise what she finds important in her life and what gives her energy. She now organises her life in a more balanced way with her family playing a bigger role. She now enjoys having choices instead of habits.
Increase impact.
A experienced professional woman has never learned to stand up for her interests and is afraid to call attention to things she considers important. However, her job as a security specialist requires her to have an impact and make substantive adjustments in consultations. With coaching, she found very close help. For she discovered that, deep down, she had some powerful pieces of personality. With help from these power, her stubbornness, her relatable side and her mischievous side, what was difficult at first became much more manageable. Beautiful to see how she now looks completely different out of her eyes.
No recognition
A starting manager very much doubts himself because his manager does not pay attention to his efforts and results. Through coaching, he has come to believe more in what he is good at and what he wants to and can grow in. He now takes his own steps where he makes clear to his manager what he needs for growth in his role. This produced the understanding that he can assume that his efforts and results are good if he does not hear anything. This gives him even more confident, although he would prefer more feedback.
Problems with ambitions
An ambitious man found himself in a job that was very challenging but no longer matched his ambitions. He had little energy and didn't feel like doing many things. During the discussions he noticed what he did want: contacts with clients, working with marketing and being responsible for the final result. When he realized this, his energy returned and so did his options for starting his own business.
No more balance, feeling trapped.
A man with a young family finds that keeping balance in his life is no longer working. Work takes up much of the rest, the young family the rest. There is hardly any time for social contacts or sports. Through coaching, it became clear that an important aspect of this is that he had trouble setting boundaries or saying no. By paying attention to this and practising becoming stronger at it, he felt more in control. With this new self-confidence, he no longer felt so trapped. And with this new feeling, he also saw more small opportunities to still do some sports and meet up with friends
Work dries up.
A young administrative assistant was told that her workplace would expire in six months and that she needed to have a plan B for her career. This was scary because she had no idea what she was good at and what kind of work she wanted to do next. Delving into what she finds important and fun in work, what interests her and what she would like to delve further into grew a sense of direction for the upcoming move. But also importantly she also got to know herself much better and learned, for example, how to recognise and reduce stress in herself.
Called back
A manager became more and more of a workaholic because she thought this was necessary to command respect from those around her. She came for coaching after she was fired back by her family. During the sessions, she began to see what she finds important in her life and what gives her energy. She now arranges her life in a more balanced way in which her family plays a larger role. To her surprise, she finds that she can make easier choices in her management role, feels more relaxed and gains pleasure. She now enjoys having choices instead of habits.
